Christopher O'Connor

Christopher brings scientific insight, disciplined project management and practical asbestos expertise to his role as a Director, while continuing to keep his technical skills sharp as a Surveyor and Analyst.

Christopher began his professional development with a BA in Computer Animation and Digital Art, with a focus on advertising, before completing a BSc (Hons) in Applied Bioscience and then an MSc in Biotechnology through part-time study. During this period, he worked as a project coordinator for clinical trials and progressed into project management for drug development, building a strong foundation in client focus, technical detail, quality-led processes and clear communication.

Christopher further broadened his commercial and operational knowledge through an HNC in Business and Six Sigma Green Belt certification during his time in project management, before moving into a pharmacy manager role for a WDA. Seeking a more practical, out-of-office-focused career, he completed training in P402: Surveying and Sampling Strategies for Asbestos in Buildings, P403: Air Sampling and Fibre Counting (PCM), and P404: Clearance Testing and the Requirements of a Certificate for Reoccupation. He then developed his asbestos surveying and analytical experience while working with UKAS-accredited companies. This combination of science, management and field experience now shapes his leadership of ACE and his measured, evidence-led approach to every project.
